It's a challenge for the Australian squad to achieve unprecedented feats.

The top summits have already been conquered.

We're talking about the team that has won seven Cricket World Cups, in addition to another six T20 titles, and previously enjoyed over three years unbeaten in 50-over cricket.

It needed as late as Sunday's three-wicket win over India for them to achieve their initial ODI chase exceeding 300, regaining their record for the biggest in the women's 50-over format, is, honestly, a tribute to the bowlers that have sported the yellow jersey over the last half-century.

It is hard for their hitters to maintain a record if never given the opportunity.

At the next 50-over World Cup in New Zealand, Healy hit 170 against England in the title decider and was awarded tournament MVP. She made sure her country would not come up short.

The question of whether this latest epic knock surpassed that earlier display remains open for discussion.

Many contend the argument supporting final game tension. Others can counter with the challenge that comes when confronting a historic chase and a raucous India-supporting crowd of 20,000.

What is certain is this century was much more difficult to see coming.

The New Zealand onslaught in 2022 came as she was the highest scorer, but this knock followed six innings in India from the beginning of the previous month in which she had not exceeded 30 runs.

"For those following me in the nets, it has been a disappointing period because I feel like my form was missing at all," stated Healy.

She was troubled by India's promising player Kranti Gaud in the previous month's ODI series, out to the young fast bowler in all three matches, but here that only provided Healy's spark.

A single was taken off Gaud's first delivery and from that point the right-hander was on her way.

"A chance to take the field and face the challenge with her and merely enjoy the moment in that regard, sort of got me going," stated Healy.

She reached fifty in 35 deliveries - her fastest at the global tournament - and her ton in 84 as she attacked short-pitched balls, striking 21 boundaries and three maximums.

By the time she was removed her side needed 66 more at run per delivery - an achievable target now needing a comfortable finish.

"Pursuing 330 is new territory so I'm pleased we have the confidence to accomplish that now," stated Healy further.

"Ideally we won't need to do it again but, should it happen, we know we can succeed."

Those words will be the last rival teams at this tournament need to hear.

Over the past five days a feeling they will win from any position has become more firm - this victory succeeding success over Pakistan by 107 run margin despite struggling at 76-7 at a certain moment.

Following this Australia face Bangladesh before a meeting with longtime competitors England in Indore in a week and a half, by which point a last-four spot may probably be guaranteed.
