I will dominate 'serious boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua
The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to publicize next month's bout.
Ex two time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Fighter's Mentality
"I'm going to break his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to genuinely try to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Exchange
In spite of those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually known for his dramatics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul rather attacked ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He lost to Briton Fury in last year.
Financial Success
Nevertheless, the novice is still one of the sport's largest money-making draws, consistently making huge paydays.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in round four or five and stated he would derail the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.
"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As both boxers participated in the customary face-off, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it emphasized just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is really going ahead.
